Qazim Karim, Festival Director of SNF 2025, HSG, said: “HeritageSG is thrilled to unveil SNF 2025 and invite everyone to celebrate Island Nights with us. For this edition, we delve deep into Singapore’s identity as an island nation across Bras Basah.Bugis, and explore our heritage of deep connections and cultural exchanges that continue to influence our way of life today. As we mark Singapore’s 60th year of independence, we also recognise our artists, and reaffirm our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and nurturing the creative community here. This year, we’re especially proud to introduce partnerships with The Listening Biennial and the ALIGHT Conference that elevate the festival beyond our signature displays to foster more impactful connections within our community.”

This year, festival-goers are set for an unforgettable adventure with not just one, but two breathtaking experiences that will transform familiar spaces in the precinct into realms of wonder. Cathay Green will burst into life with stunning, larger-than-life inflatable arches that pulse and shimmer in harmony with the crowd, creating a vibrant symphony of color and sound. Entitled Sky Castle, this enchanting interactive installation by the visionary Australian art and technology studio ENESS captures the exhilarating joy that rainbows inspire after every storm, delivering a powerful message of hope and fresh beginnings that resonates deeply after times of hardship.

On the other side of the precinct, immerse yourself in a tranquil oasis at the heart of the vibrant city with Kampong Chill by the talented artist duo Yok & Sheryo. Nestled within the enchanting Capitol Singapore, this captivating experience crafts a delightful pavilion designed for pure relaxation. Festival-goers are beckoned to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in unique workshops that beautifully encapsulate the essence of island life in Singapore. Projection Mapping Installations | Illuminating historic buildings in the precinct! This year, prepare to be dazzled by SNF’s signature projection mapping installations, which will transform two historic landmarks into breathtaking works of light art. Both local and international artists will render their interpretations of Island Nights across these magnificent canvases.

Festival-goers will be awestruck as the iconic façade of the National Museum of Singapore is bathed in light by MOSAIC, a stunning masterpiece created by French artist and projection mapping luminary Jérémie Bellot. This mesmerizing installation invites onlookers on an exhilarating voyage through celestial constellations and historical cartographies, prompting reflections on navigation and the spirit of island exploration in the region. Through the exquisite blending of kebaya and batik motifs, MOSAIC not only enchants the eye but also honors 60 years of Singapore’s cherished diplomatic ties with France.

CHIJMES will proudly showcase mesmerizing projection mapping masterpieces created by four extraordinary local female artists: Adeline Kueh, HAFI, KangLi, and Tororo.aoi. These stunning works embody the remarkable journey and personal growth of these talented visionaries, forged through the transformative experience of SNF’s third edition of the Projection Mapping Masterclass – a pioneering programme dedicated to empowering local visual artists in the art of projection mapping. This initiative was masterfully led by Filamen, a visionary new media art collective from Malaysia, renowned for their innovative approach to projection mapping.
